The management committee would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Joe O’Hara, who has informed the committee of his intention to stand down from his role as Bar Manager in the coming months.
Joe has worked at the Emerald Club for 45 years and provided memories to many generations during this time. Joe has overseen a hugely successful period of the Emerald Club’s history and has played a huge role in ensuring the club is able to run as it does today.
Joe will continue to work for the Emerald Club in the role as Bar Manager in the coming months while the management committee undergo a recruitment process to ensure a suitable candidate can be found. The vacancy for Bar Manager will open at the end of this coming week.
The management committee will communicate any updates on the role of bar manager to members and customers at the appropriate time, but believe that all members, friends and customers of the Emerald Club will join us in saying a huge thank you to Joe and his family for their incredible work and commitment over a vast number of years. There truly can be no replacement for the time, work and effort you have given our club and our community.
