St Mary’s GAA

We are proud to be home to St Mary’s GAA, a club boasting over 60 years of GAA history in the city of Wolverhampton.

St Mary’s GAA, proudly rooted in Wolverhampton, continues to shine as a beacon of Gaelic football excellence and community spirit. With over 60 years of history, the club is experiencing a powerful resurgence—both on and off the pitch. Recent highlights include clinching the Warwickshire Intermediate League title for the second successive year long with hosting their first home competitive fixture since 2018, marking the beginning of an exciting new era.

A key driver of this momentum is the club’s enduring partnership with The Emerald Club. As both a long-standing sponsor and social hub, The Emerald plays a vital role—offering financial support and serving as a vibrant venue for events, fundraisers, and post-match celebrations. This collaboration has strengthened St Mary’s roots within the local community and fuelled its ongoing growth.

Looking ahead, St Mary’s is actively expanding its ranks. The club is welcoming underage players, ladies and men players to join their growing squads. Whether you’re an experienced player or completely new to Gaelic football, or just wanting to get involved in the committee, there’s a place for you at St Mary’s.

Training sessions are inclusive and beginner-friendly, attracting athletes from diverse sporting backgrounds such as rugby, netball, and soccer.

With a strong culture, visionary leadership, and a firm commitment to player development, St Mary’s GAA is more than just a club—it’s a family.
